02/04/11 08 OUR BLACKBIRDS V 08 CCG GOANNAS

On Saturday all the team were very excited to be in the March Past and could not get the smiles

off their faces. The girls had to quickly warm up and learn what positions they would be playing

against the Central Coast Grammar School. Jasmine and Ebony shot some great goals, Ella and

Brooke F defended very well and caught lots of rebounds, Ruby and Georgia covered the court well playing C half game each Brooke S improved alot as she caught the ball on the centre pass. The girls played fantastic passing the ball down the court to the goal end, and making some great intercepts.

Ella was player of the match and had great improvement from the Gala Day.

Well done girls you played as a team looking forward to the next game.

09/04/11 08 OUR BLACKCATS v 08 KIN ROOS

Wow girls you are all playing fantastic. This week we were short two players, thanks to Jasmine's sister Bridie and her friend Sophie from the 7's we had seven, they were a great addition to the team. Ebony did a great job in defence. Jasmine and Ruby made some wonderful intercepts. Brooke S played really well in C. All players tried to find spaces like we practised at training. Brooke F was player of the match and did a great job at both ends shooting and defending. Well done girls each week you are improving so much. We are really proud of you. Keep smiling and having fun.

07/05/11 08 OUR BLACKCATS v 08 RAID MINNIES

All the girls were excited to play again after the wet weather. We welcomed out new member,

Shireen, to the team who played very enthusiastically. This week all the team kept their 3 feet or 0.9 metre spacing well and tried to find a space to catch the ball well done! Player of the week was Jasmine who always puts 100% effort in.

We all missed Delaney the assistant coach not being there.

Fantastic Blackcats team you are all doing a great job.

14/05/11 08 OUR BLACKCATS v 08 CW FINCHES

This week we played fantastic. Ebony did a great job in C and worked hard at finding a space. Shireen played GK and focused well on defence.

Brook Fplayed WD and intercepted loose balls. Brooke S and Georgia, what a team they were in the circle shooting goals well. Ruby and Jasmine worked

hard and intercepted lots of balls. Ella also played in defence andhard at coming forward and chasing the ball. Ebony was player of the match.We are so proud of the

Blackcats who make improvements every week and are focusing on learning and enjoying the game. Our motto is 'Smile and have fun'.

21/05/11 08 OUR BLACKCATS v 08 GPCC GOANNAS

This week the Blackcats played the Central Coast Grammar School. Each game the team have been swapping positions at half time, all thegirls have learnt to adjust. This week Jasmine was GK and

Ebony was GD for a half and what a team they made, intercepting the ball alot.

Ebony put her long arms up and defended a tall player very well and would catch the ball. They

did not let the ball get past them in the second half. Brooke S played C for half a game and could not

get the smile off her face, and chased alot of loose balls. Georgia was also C for half the game and made some great passes and worked hard at trying to find a space.

Ella was enthusiastic as always and shot some goals. Shireen played GS and GD, and was always using fast feet and hungry for the ball.

Brooke F also into came into her own as GK and chased and intercepted loose balls. Ruby WA as always played with her natural flair and jumped and caught and intercepted the ball.

Brooke S was player of the match. Looking forward to next week.

28/05/11 08 OUR BLACKCATS v 08 KIN ROOS

The girls as always were excited to play netball on Saturday. We played against Kincumber this week.

It was a bit chilly as Adcock can be. The girls did not let that get to them,

they played well both in defence and attack, and scored a few goals. We still need to work

on finding space and coming forward. They all had a smile on their faces and had fun.

We all missed Delaney this week as she was in Melbourne shopping. Ruby was a much deserved

player of the match.

Thank you girls for putting in 100% effort in at training and at the game, you are all good

listeners and practice each week what you learn to the best of your ability,

I am very proud of the team.

04/06/11 08 OUR BLACKCATS v 08 KAR TWINKLES

This was the first week we have not swapped all the girls positions at half time. Brooke F came into her own this week as GS and was hungry for the ball scoring goals. Brooke S was GA always smiling, and also scored goals. Ruby was GK and Jasmine was GD together they stopped many balls before the other team shooters got them. Ella and Shireen each had a half as C and were always there to catch the balls and did some intercepts. Ebony was WA and as always tried to find a space. Girls you worked great as a team today and bought the ball down the court well and there was not as much bunching as usual. Georgia was in WD working hard in defence and was player of the match.
