WON 45-19
The Cobras had a big win on the weekend against Davistown. All the girls played well.
We have three shooters and one circle defender. Before the game the girls themselves decided to share these positions, which I thought was very mature and egalitarian of them. No mucking around, no precious behaviour...
Michaela was strong in defence, whilst Catherine put on some strong holds in the shooting circle and Annika attacked the rebounds (good to see someone who actually gets off the ground when she jumps).
We have changed our training to Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30. This is it, so anyone who can't make it will just have to come to the Div 9 training, which is Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30 to get their fitness happening.

14/05/11 CADET 3 OUR COBRAS v CADET 3 WN GARNETS
WON 48 - 22
The Cadet 3 Ourimbah Cobras played the Wyoming Narara Garnets on Saturday 14 May. The Cobras took the court with only five players against a full strength opposition, although a sixth player arrived through the first quarter. Despite being one player down for the match, the Cobras won impressively by a margin of over 20 goals. Our shooters - Michaela, Catherine and Annika - were accurate throughout the game, and our defenders and mid-court played very well also. Annika, who has never played defence before, spent a quarter at Goal Defence. Her height in the goal circle was certainly an advantage. Well played Cobras.

21/05/11 CADET 3 OUR COBRAS v CADET 3 BOOST MAGIC
LOSS 48 - 38
The Cadet 3 Cobras played the Boost Magic on Saturday. It was a tough game against a very good opposition. Our girls kept up with their opponents in the first quarter, fell behind in the second quarter, won the third quarter but then lost momentum in the fourth quarter to lose the game by 10 goals. The defence worked very hard all game, with Christina at Goal Keeper, Alex at Wing Defence and new team member Emily at Goal Defence all doing an outstanding job. A big welcome to Emily who played her first game with the Cobras on Saturday and is a great boost to the Cobras defence.

28/05/11 CADET 3 OUR COBRAS v CADET 3 TW CRAYFISH
WON 36 - 34
This week the Ourimbah Cobras played the Terrigal-Wamberal Crayfish. The teams were well-matched and it was a close game all the way through. The Cobras started with a full team but played with only 6 players for the second half of the match. Despite this they won 36 to 34 goals. All the girls played really well but a special mention should go to Annika Marsh who had an outstanding game at Goal Attack and scored most of the goals in the second half of the game.

04/06/11 CADET 3 OUR COBRAS v CADET 3 AP JUPITERS
WON 46 - 24
This week the Cobras played the Apollo Jupiters. Our girls started off very slowly and lost the first quarter. However they picked up the pace in the second quarter and sustained this for the rest of the match to win convincingly. Emily and Catherine showed their versatility by playing outside their normal positions for part of the match. Alex had an outstanding game at wing defence and Madison and Rhianna Shaw held the mid-court play together really well. Christina provided some great defence at goal keeper and Annika and Michaela were on-target with their goal shooting.
A great team effort this week.

LOSS
The Cobras played their semi-final match today against the OLSS Frangipanis. The OLSS team has been unbeaten in the competition to date and they won today's match. However the margin was only four goals and at one stage the Cobras were ahead by two so it was a close match and the Cobras played very well. All the girls had a great game, even during some heavy rain during the third quarter. Next week they play the minor final and hopefully will make it through to the grand final to meet the OLSS team again.

03/09/11 CADET 3 OUR COBRAS v CADET 3 OLSS FRANGIPANIS
WON 35 - 24
PREMIERS
What a match the Cobras had on grand final day! The girls won 35 to 24, beating the OLSS Frangipanis who had gone through the season unbeaten. The match was very close until the final quarter and very competitive, with both sides contesting everything. Our shooters - Annika, Michaela and Catherine - were right on target. Our mid-court players - Maddie, Rhianna, Alex and Emily - were outstanding, and our defence - Christina in Goal Keeper, and Annika and Catherine taking turns in Goal Defence - were fantastic and held back the OLSS shooters right through the game. The Cobras kept their heads and maintained their effort over all four quarters to win the game and the grand final for the Cadet 3 grade. The girls have had a great season, have played as a team throughout, and had a well-deserved victory. Thanks must go to their coach, Corinne Terlato, and to their manager Libby Marsh, and also to all the parents who supported the girls throughout the season. Thanks also to all the Ourimbah club members and executive who watched part or all of the match and supported the CobraS.
