Today the girls had a great first match of the season. Everyone tried their best for the whole game and they were able to lead for the whole game. I would especially like to mention our new team members Sally and Libby who played really well. Thanks girls. No-one would have known they hadn't played with the girls before. Olivia also starred in her new position as shooter. Tahlia, Alisha Rebecca and Charlotte all gave their best effort as always.
A big thanks also to Mrs Craig who was watching the game intently, taking notes and supporting the girls. Thanks so much for your time again this season Pat!.

WON 19-5
Again, all the girls played extremely well this week. At first the team was unexpectedly short. Luckily, Gabby Molin from the 10 A Penguins, was happy to play for the big girls. Thanks so much Gabby. You saved the day and played extremely well on the wing!
The girls got off to a great start leading 8-3 at the first quarter. The scoring slowed in the 2nd and 3rd quarter and took off again in the last quarter. Through out the whole game our defense was fantastic. Charlotte and Rebecca made it extremely difficult for Lisarow to score. Alisha in GA worked hard the whole game and kept trying, even when scoring was difficult. You showed real persistence Alisha. It was great to have Erin back and she made some beautiful passes into the goal circle. Well done Erin. Tahlia as always, kept up the pace the whole game and Olivia continued to shine as shooter.
Enjoy your break girls and I look forward to the next game.

What an exciting game! It was so close and suspenseful our scorer was unable to continue in the 4th quarter and Andrew, Tahlia's Dad, had to take over.
We started off well and had a small lead after the first quarter. The opposition caught up in the 2nd quarter and it was neck a neck after this!
All the girls played well and kept the pressure on the opposition the whole game. Some girls also played in unfamiliar positions. Thanks especially to Libby who played Goal Keeper after Rebecca was injured.
Even though we lost, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the game, especially the spectators! The girls also show great sprtsmanship and didn't show any disappointment about the final score.
Well done girls. We will have another chance to reverse the score next round.

What a fantastic match! The girls had a great but unexpected win against the Kariong Aliens who are leading the competition and had been undefeated all season.
The girls ALL played well and contributed to the win. The game started off quite evenly. The score was 6-5 at the end of the first quarter. Charlotte played particularly well making keeping it difficult for the opposition to score. Sally, Libby and Erin kept the ball moving well in the court and Olivia and Alisha kept the scoring ticking over.
Pat decided to change some positions at half time and the new combination worked. Rebecca showed she could shoot really well and Alisha who worked extremely hard and troubled the goal attack in defense. The girls really went ahead in the last quarter and won convincingly by 8 goals.
It is great to see how much ALL the girls have improved. They have been attending training consistently with Pat being there Rain, Hail or Shine and it is showing in their performance.
Looking forward to our next game after the break.
