This was a very tough game against the team at the top of the ladder. Newcomer Mikayla Bailey
placed herself well for passes and will be an increasingly valuable team player as her confidence
grows. You are doing great, Mikayla! Jasmine and our other new team member Michaela Baxter
made the most of the few opportunities at goal we had with some top shots. Down the other end
of the court, Georgie held solidly for passes out of the circle by defence players Emily Beth and
Jorja, who worked non-stop and effectively all game, putting the OLSS shooters off many a shot.
The Dalmatians kept trying until the final whistle blew, and can be very proud of their efforts.
Keep practising finding a space to move into when you call for the ball, and passing short and
sharp, and you’ll make it even tougher for the opposition next time, girls!

Our girls had a wonderful game this week showing off all their skills. Our shooters, Taji and Jasmine, were on fire. Using the circle and positioning themselves in great space for that perfect shot. While our defence, Emily and Jorja worked tirelessly to break the oppositions momentum with great success. Not to be forgotten is our always hard working centre court players. Lauren has found her feet this year and is always in wonderful space for many passes. Georgie only played a quarter this week but put her stamp on the game out in WD. Makayla took her place for the remainder of the game and for the first time showed a sneak peek at what she is capable of. Go Makayla. Cassidy showed off her versatility going from position to position with ease. Well done Cas. Then we have anew player this year who is proving to be quite strong. With the advice and coaching of Regina, Michaela is getting better and better every week. Well done every one. It was great to come away with a win, but it was lovely to watch your sportsmanship ans pride on the court. Keep it up girls
